Sheffield CU Festival of Fun 2020

This year's fantastic Festival of Fun has over 75 exciting and FREE activities for children and young people. To ensure social distancing is maintained, most of the activities are home-based whilst others are self guided walks or trails but we're sure there'll be something to excite you all!

To give everyone a fair chance, booking will OPEN THIS FRIDAY 10th JULY so get your diaries at the ready! Follow on Facebook or Twitter for all the latest updates.

Some activities have limited spaces and require booking in advance, and some are available for South Yorkshire Children's University members too. All activities are suitable for children and young people with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND) with adult support. Please do contact the Learning Destination directly to discuss your child's needs.

You will be able to collect 1 CU credit per activity in your Passport to Learning. To do this, you will need to complete a special Festival of Fun Learning Reflection Diary Sheet and return to us at the end of the holidays. Please download and read the leaflet carefully which has all the details you need and start planning your summer 2020 fun!

Lowedges Junior Academy and ACET understands and greatly appreciates the crucially important work being undertaken by our frontline services, such as the NHS, ambulance, police and fire services, especially during the current Coronavirus pandemic. We recognise the importance of ensuring onsite education for the children of personnel from these services, should staff shortages in the academy enforce partial closures. Therefore, we invite parents/carers who work in frontline services to identify themselves to us by contacting Lindsay Jones at Thank you.

Following government advice, ALL planned trips and visits scheduled to take place over the next 12 weeks have been cancelled. We are in contact with the travel companies and our insurers and hope to be able to recover costs but cannot guarantee this at this stage. We will confirm details as soon as possible.

Here is a list of websites that your child can access from home to continue their learning should they be self-isolating or in the event the academy is closed.
