Spring 2 Spelling Rules/Patterns

We will give new spellings out on a Monday and complete a spelling test on the following Monday. Children will learn these in school but to ensure they become fully embedded, they will need to be practised regularly at home.

In Y3, children consolidate their 2s, 5s and 10s. They learn their 3s, 4s, 8s. 

In Y4, children consolidate their 2s, 3s, 4s, 5s, 8s, 10s. They learn their 6s, 7s, 9s, 11s, 12s. 

At the end of Y4, the children take the Multiplication Check (MTC). It is a score of 25/25 to pass.
