Junior Leadership Team (JLT)
Who are the Junior Leadership Team?
The Junior Leadership Team are a group of students who are elected to represent the views of all pupils and work together to improve our school. We follow a democratic process to elect the Leaders. If they wish to become a Junior Leader the pupils must present their reasons that they think they would do the job well. The class then votes for their leaders.

What do the Junior Leadership Teams do?
The Junior Leadership Teams meet staff regularly and discuss issues that are important to the children and their group's aims. They have an agenda which they create, a member of the JLT takes the minutes and they all contribute their ideas.
The representatives feedback information to their classes about what has happened during the meetings and this usually leads to further discussion and debate within classes. The minutes are taken and distributed by the pupils to each class.
The objectives of the Junior Leadership Team are to:
-
Give pupils the right to say what they think
-
Listen to and consider suggestions made by pupils
-
Allow pupils to present new initiatives and ideas
-
Allow pupils to talk about what is important to them
-
Help the school Senior Leadership Team and governors understand what is important to the children
-
Find out and share what matters and give information to everyone in school
-
Help make our school the very best it can be.

Pupil Parliament
We also held a whole school election for the 'Head' and 'Deputy Head' of the Pupil Parliament.
Each candidate bravely stood up in assembly and gave a speech to the whole school, pledging their reasons to be voted for. Everyone then visited the polling station and was given a ballot paper to mark who they would like to represent them. This ballot paper was put into the ballot box anonymously and later counted.
It was a close count, but Roman took the win with his deputy, A'Isahah taking a close second!
Please meet our Head and Deputy Head of the Pupil Parliament
